Project overview
About this project.
SHEILD — Social, Humanitarian, Economical Intervention for Local Development — is a Lebanese NGO
founded in 2010 by activists working in humanitarian and recovery work since the 2006 war, legally
registered with the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities. It works with vulnerable and marginalised
communities in South Lebanon.
The platform covers the organisation completely: who it is and how it was formed, its programmes and
interventions, its projects and field work, and its published activity reports — the material donors,
partners and beneficiaries all come looking for. Its education arm, ACCES by SHEILD, runs teacher
development and international conferences.
