About this project
A social discovery app built around place and interest rather than romance. You are in a restaurant, a café, a venue; the app shows people nearby who are open to meeting, someone to have a conversation with, share an interest, work with, or go somewhere with. The premise is the everyday version of what dating apps monopolised: people are physically near each other and would happily talk, and have no way to start.
From the proposal, the platform side is real: locations managed by admins, with businesses or users submitting location requests that admins approve or deny, user upgrades, blocking, and push notifications, so the venues themselves are part of the network, not just a map layer.
